Yoshi Blade Review
Yoshi Blade has been advertised everywhere for the past few years. One afternoon my husband decided we needed a good set of knives and decided to order not one, but two sets of Yoshi Blades. Actually, their television ad said you get two sets for the price of one. Be careful here, when they asked him if he wanted two sets, he assumed it was the two they advertised, not so, we actually ended up pay for another entire set of Yoshi Blades – 4 sets in all.
My husband told me “throw away your kitchen knives, we’re going to use Yoshi Blades”. My reply, “lets wait and see if their claims are real before we throw anything away”. Turns out I was right. Yoshi Blade has a lot of drawbacks.
When we got Yoshi Blades, we read the “Caution Read This First” brochure that comes in the sets. Here is a list of the issues with Yoshi Blade:
- Do not use Yoshi Blade to chop – only slice
- Chopping can chip the blade
- Do not let Yoshi Blade sit in water
- Use Caution, Very Sharp – I don’t think they are any sharper than my other knives
Bottom line, I want a knife that can chop, slice and soak without me having to worry about it. I haven’t tried to send them back yet, my husband wants to save them for wedding gifts. Maybe someone else would enjoy having them, I know I don’t. They are cheap enough if you want a decent “slicing” blade.
