Herb Garden Kits Make Great Gifts
I gave herb garden kits to my staff and they loved them. Finding holiday or birthday gifts for co-workers is hard. Lots of office stuff out there but these were more personal and not that expensive.

Lung Cancer: On Herbs For Three and Half Years - No Chemo
|
SC was 68 years old when her problems began. She is a non-smoker. She started to have coughs for six months. There was no symptom apart from the pain on her right shoulder. On investigation, she was diagnosed with early stage lung cancer, Stage 1B. Surgery was done on 29 September 2008, but it was aborted - an open and close case. The cancer had spread to the back of the chest wall and considered a Stage 4. Her doctor suggested chemotherapy and said without this treatment she would have only six months to live. SC declined. Her sister died one year after surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy for her breast cancer. SC sought our help and started taking herbs in October 2008. She is well today, except for her pain. The latest e-mail from her daughter is on 7 February 2012. |

I have a large garden with a lot of herbs. I thought this would be a great gadget to speed up the process of chopping the herbs. It works to finely cut the herbs. But, it does not release them easily. A bit of shaking the scissors, and most of the cuttings will come out. Still, I wish it worked better than it does. I will use the scissors when I have a large amount of cutting to do. Other than that, I’ll stick to tearing the herbs by hand for smaller dishes. Not a bad product…but, again, it could be better.

This planter is just the right size. Very easy to plant. I’ll look forward to my fresh herbs!

Item was truly unfinished pottery. The packaging and other details make it appear nice but it seems to be of poor quality without the finishing touches for use in any kitchen. This is not a $12 item in my opinion. I purchased a beautiful 8″ Diam. pot 12″ high with a beautiful glazed finish for $9.00. This pot is tiny with jagged unfinished edges which left a very rough and crude finished product.

This purchase was received as described, good quality, well packaged, very timely, and I would purchase from this seller again!

This is super cute and looks very functionable. Great for a housewarming gift or small apt window sill. About 4″ by 4″ with slots for herbs.

This was purchased as a gift for my daughter. I was with her when she unwrapped her gift, and she loved it, loves growing herbs. The pots are really nice also.

i still have 3 of the pots that the herbs are doing good. I have used some of the basil and thyme for dressings. I was disappointed that there were no holes in the pots, but it may not have been necessary for clay pots to have holes since they are porous, just not what I am used to. Also, the soil reminded me wet saw dust and not soil at all. I was not sure how much to water them and I overwatered one of them to where the water was standing on the top and went to tip it over slightly to drain the water off and the whole thing came out … I just used some of my potting soil in it and put some more seeds in to grow and they never did grow – it was the cilantro. The chives never did come up. There was supposed to be enough seeds for a couple of plantings, but that is not what I received. It is a really sturdy stand and looks pretty on the counter in the kitchen. I would not recommend it.

I purchased this herb set for my mother-in-law’s birthday and she informed me that she did not have much luck with some of the herbs growing. She said the presentation of the herbs on the accompanying stand adds a nice touch to one’s counter space. Maybe more light was needed.

This is okay for the price you could probably just buy the components separately for about the same price. The pots have no drainage, and the rack always leave 2 of the pots without adequate sunlight unless you have a spot with exceptional sunlight coverage. Good for people who dont know much but you could easily buy something better at a gardening story for about the same price.

This product is basically worthless. There is no drainage so water just sits in the pot, ensuring that your seeds, or seedlings will soon rot.

This is not a great deal, the potting soil isn’t of great quality or the seeds. It is priced right for what you do get I guess. The potting soil should be replaced with something of better quality the plants can’t thrive with this stuff. The seeds are just okay in quality. The stand is a basic plastic nothing to get overly excited about. The pots are not a real terracotta but seem to be okay. So, overall for the price you are getting a basic kitchen herb set nothing fancy.

The product worked well….the scissors are sharp and made quick work of cutting up fresh rosemary I was using. Easily rinses clean.

The RSVP Herb Scissors save time and energy. I received them as a gift, and was so happy that I order 2 of them as gifts for a couple of gourmet friends. They reduce preparation time to a fraction. They are easily cleaned by running a table knife between the blades, and wash in a jiffy. Though I don’t recommend this practice for everybody, I also use them to cut eggs and cold cuts.

The scissors worked as advertised. There is no real advantage for buying. The herbs stick between the scissors even when the herbs are dried well. If you use fresh herbs, they will stick. A sharp knife works just as well, perhaps better because the herbs only stick to the one blade and requires less effort to get the herbs off.

Unless you’re really handy with chopping with a cleaver, these herb scissors are for you. They make garnishing a breeze. You’ll never chop parsley again!
